It seems to happen once or twice each season: a finalist gives what was probably the best performance of their run, and they're eliminated from the competition the same week. Too bad that happened to Scott MacIntyre this time around, but I think it was time. Undoubtedly he was the most inspirational "Idol" contestant this year (and perhaps ever) ... but, in my honest opinion, his voice was rarely better than "okay" ... and this is a singing competition, after all. Plus (not that this is in any way his fault, I know), that bug-eyed glare of his while he was singing could get a little distracting sometimes.
Scott fans can take heart, though ... there ain't a chance in hell that we won't hear from him again ... someone out there is gonna give that dude a recording contract, 'cause they know he'll sell records.
